Wethele Manor Warwickshire wedding photography in November

I was delighted to photograph Hannah and Ian’s wedding at Warwickshire’s Wethele Manor in November. Wethele manor is in such a beautiful rural setting which provides a range of lovely backdrops for wedding photographs. Horses were grazing in the field and the lake looked beautiful. The grounds are of the estate are outstanding set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. The 16th century house and outbuildings have a charming feel.

Bridal Preparations and Ceremony

My day began at Hannah’s home where she began her bridal preparations with her bridesmaids and two of the most delightful dogs. Everyone was in high spirits and the preparations got off to a good start. I had arranged to meet the groom Ian and his groomsmen at Wethele Manor later in the morning where they were getting ready in the top floor of the old house. After taking photographs of the guys I met up again with Hannah and her bridesmaids for the final stage of her preparations – as you will see from the photos, Wethele Manor has two lovely chalets for bridal preparations next to the lake. Brides often ask if they need two photographers to photograph both bride and groom, but as you will see, with careful planning I am able to cover both bride and groom preparations.  Afterwards the ceremony took place in the wedding room which has impressive ceiling timbers.

Glorious Weather for a Wedding Wedding at Wethele Manor

Sometimes winter weddings can be glorious. This was such a day. Clear blue sky and brilliant sun made the day, despite the cold temperatures. Winter skies on a good day can be very impressive and you could think, looking at the photographs, that this was a glorious summer wedding not a November wedding! There is a very special light in late afternoon, just as the sun goes down, which is wonderful for photography. I saw the quality of light as Hannah and Ian were mingling with their guests and suggested we took some couple shots. It was just the perfect time and we took advantage of the most wonderful golden glow before sunset.
