Kinver Edge Engagement Photography

Perfect couple, weather, location – this really was a fantastic photo shoot. The only problem was climbing the hill which nearly gave me a coronary. Oh, and having to climb down a treacherous path without breaking my neck or smashing my cameras! 😀 However, fortune favours the brave! We survived – and got some incredible photos! I love engagement shoots – perfect opportunity to take in some beautiful scenery, get some exercise, have a giggle – oh and take the odd photo! Guy had proposed to Sian at this spot therefore they really wanted to come back to this special location for a photo shoot – and I was only too happy to oblige. It’s an awesome (in the true sense of the word!) sandstone cliff edge with the most incredible views out over Worcestershire and Staffordshire. It also has some (not easily accessible) beautiful caves carved out of the sandstone. Nobody really knows when the caves were carved but some historians believe the caves could go far as back as 700AD. The reddish tones of the sandstone and the greens of the lichens and moss really did provide a beautiful backdrop to the portraits.

If you’re based in the West Midlands and looking for a nice day out, I’d strongly recommend coming for a day out here. If you’re a National Trust member it’s a ‘no-brainer’ as the Trust owns some beautiful houses to visit here too.

I’m really looking forward to Sian and Guy’s upcoming wedding at the nearby St Peter’s Church Kinver and reception at Belbroughton Church Hall. It’s going to be a lot of fun! 🙂

“The photos are AMAZING! We’re so happy with them :)” Sian

Thanks for reading! If you’re planning a wedding in the Kinver area or anywhere in the West Midlands area for that matter do send me a message.

Thanks!
